Sumo Sushi in Bochum

So I really have to say that eating was better! I've been a customer there for a long time and usually order to take away. It used to be like this because the sushi was still packed in beautiful transparent plastic trays with dividing strips! Now only in unsightly styrofoam boxes where the sushi flies through the box. The quality has also declined since the boss was no longer behind the counter.

Sushi was delicious & fresh.

We picked up a takeaway order a few days ago and it was more than unreasonable! Never eaten worse sushi! Stay away from this shop! Angular smell and taste! Never again!

Very tasty sushi! The owners are nice and accommodating. There is obviously a high fluctuation among the waiters, which means that orders are not always executed correctly the first time, but this is corrected immediately with the request for forgiveness.

Order directly at the table via tablet, nice staff, lots of choice for all-you-can-eat and delicious sushi. Always my pleasure!

Greetings to you all! My criticism is that "All you can eat" is not true. You can only order a maximum of six times. So if someone should order "All you can eat", then I recommend using a maximum of 5 products per order. I didn't do it yesterday. I was briefed by the waitress on the seventh order yesterday. They stayed friendly!

Delicious sushi But the restaurant is a bit small and very noisy. Unfortunately, the corona rules were not observed.

I can't understand these many positive reviews ... it seems I've only eaten too good sushi so far, as this place was a real impertinence ... meager selection, wrong orders, the premises are just dirty and disgusting. Fish didn't taste fresh and the fermented cabbage was definitely spoiled .. after two days still stomach pain ..

For gourmets, most of this is a treat for the palate. The quantities are an appealing and filling dimension, the seating is very comfortable and I find the distance between the seats particularly adequate. There you don't get the feeling of having dinner like cucumbers in a can. I haven't been so fascinated by an inn for a long time. Not only the nice restaurant staff was the big hit when I visited, but also the great ambience.

Didn't get the dish I ordered. When I called up my order, I specifically asked again whether it really was my order and ultimately trusted the seller. When I got home I realized that it was a different order. Annoying to go back I didn't have the time, I had to pay a lot more ...

Even one star is way too much, the food was awful and paying for this disgusting food is just so sad.

It does not always have to be a huge place. In a side street Bochum you feel a bit like in small Tokyo. You are served very friendly and get a solid selection of sushi and other Japanese dishes. The price-performance ratio is very favorable, no one can complain, because it is at other sushi bars much more money required and less offered.

I do not recommend to eat in sumo sushi at all. Yesterday i was there in a date... it supose you have 6 rounds to Order. In the Order number 4, the manager come to the table to ask me Why i was eating so much!! This was so embarazing. I had to explain that my last meal was breakfast and i was really hungry. By the way.. i ate only 20 pieces.... i am a girl but i Love to eat!!! What is the Problem? The manager offer me to cancel the last 2 rounds and With my date in front of me i was shy to say i was still Hungry so i told him he can cancel them. But guys, it was really embarrassed! So if you are the kind of person that like to eat a lot like me, better look for another all you can eat sushi.

Great sushi! You’re making a great deal especially with the “all you can eat” offer they’ve got. Would not recommend “the grill” as it wasn’t that great. Besides that, a really good and very affordable sushi restaurant. And remember cash as they only except a very specific type of German debit card.

Solid sushi. Sundays only 12,80 € AYCE. Orders are prepared quickly. It was very warm in the room though an air conditioner was available. This was turned off, however. Who Wakame or Edamame would like to choose the grill variant, costs about 5 € more.

Cheap sushi combinations were very basic, they had a decent taste but nothing special. Wakame salad was completely tasteless. Nice service though!

The sushi was delicious and always fresh. Despite a smaller selection you will be full and can try once the whole map. The waitress was very friendly.

Nothing special but the Tempura taste good and chicken too.

Staff members were really nice, prices also awesome and cheap. But doesn't have enough place for sitting outside and the food is not 5-Star. But altogether good. Would recommend it.

what can i say? apart from AWESOME!!! Tasty, fresh, huge range and super prices.. the all you can eat project is really awesome, i absolutely recommend it to everyone, the best all you can eat sushi bar . I am extra coming from Dortmund just for the Sumo sushi bar and it absolutely worth it !!! Tasty, Tasty and Tasty !!!

Buffet is great, price is acceptable. Will come back soon
